Last year's receipts, out of Gmail and into one export

Short answer: If last year's receipts are scattered through your Gmail, BillyBox can fetch the whole year, January to December, on Pro. It shows the documents with the vendor, amount and date it could read, and lets you export the twelve months once you've marked them.

What the records show for one customer

One customer signed up and fetched all twelve months of the previous year.

• On the signup date, between early afternoon and late evening their time, hundreds of documents were marked business, personal or ignore.
• Export records for all twelve months followed. A few more documents were marked a few days later.

How to fetch last year

1. Connect Gmail (or Outlook, or IMAP where your provider allows it). If business mail went to more than one address, connect each one.
2. Fetch January to December. For a year that's entirely before you signed up, you need Pro, which covers your full history. Starter covers every month from sign-up onward plus any 6 earlier months.
3. Mark documents with B, P or I, or swipe. BillyBox can suggest an answer; you decide.
4. Export the year with Business selected, and send the ZIP to whoever prepares your taxes.

Good to know

• BillyBox finds documents in the email you connected. Paper receipts and charges that only appear on a bank statement aren't in there; you can upload photos or PDFs.
• Ask your tax preparer what they need for each expense. BillyBox doesn't decide what's deductible.
