How to download your Microsoft 365 invoice
Steps last checked:
For a business subscription, the invoice is in the Microsoft 365 admin center under Billing › Bills & payments, and you can have it attached to Microsoft’s invoice emails. For Microsoft 365 Personal or Family, it is in your Microsoft account order history.
Download a Microsoft 365 invoice by hand
Business: open Bills & payments
Sign in to the Microsoft 365 admin center. In Dashboard view go to Billing › Bills & payments; in Simplified view select Products, then View invoices.
Business: download the PDF
Select the invoice, then Download › Download invoice. If you have several billing accounts, select Change billing account to see each one’s invoices.
Personal or Family: open Order history
Sign in at account.microsoft.com/billing and select Payment & billing › Order history.
Personal or Family: print or get the tax invoice
Select Order details for the order, then Print. Where VAT applies, select Tax invoice on the order detail page; it can take from 48 hours to 5 days to appear.
- In the admin center you need to be at least a Billing Administrator.
- Microsoft 365 doesn’t issue payment receipts. For a card payment, match the invoice with your card statement.
- The online invoice looks different from the PDF version you download.
What arrives by email
Business subscriptions can get the invoice as a PDF attached to Microsoft’s invoice emails. With a Microsoft Online Services Agreement (MOSA), go to Billing › Billing notifications, select Edit notification settings and tick Attach a PDF to your invoice emails. With a Microsoft Customer Agreement (MCA), turn on Get invoices in email attachments in the billing profile’s invoice and contact settings.
Let BillyBox collect them
BillyBox connects to Gmail, Outlook or any IMAP inbox and looks through your mail for invoices and receipts. It saves attached PDFs, turns receipts written into the email body into a PDF, and reads the vendor, amount and date for you.
Turn on the invoice PDF attachment and connect the inbox that receives Microsoft’s billing emails; BillyBox then collects each Microsoft 365 invoice from there.
Collect the invoices that reach your inbox
Connect Gmail, Outlook or any IMAP inbox and review your invoices in one place.
