How to download your Stripe invoice
Steps last checked:
There are two kinds of Stripe invoice. If you run a business on Stripe, the tax invoice for Stripe’s own fees is in the Dashboard under Settings › Plans and fees › Invoice history. If you paid a business that uses Stripe, your invoice and receipt are on the Stripe-hosted page that business sent you.
Download a Stripe invoice by hand
For Stripe’s fees: open the Dashboard
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard and go to Settings › Plans and fees › Invoice history.
Download the month’s tax invoice
Choose the month and download its tax invoice. Each month’s invoice is available by the 10th of the following month.
For something you paid: open the invoice link
Open the invoice email from the business you paid and follow its link to the Stripe-hosted invoice page. There you can download PDF copies of the invoice and the receipt.
- Stripe issues fee tax invoices only where your business’s legal address is in a covered location: Australia, Canada, Europe, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore, Thailand, the United Arab Emirates, and US states that tax Stripe fees.
- No invoice is issued for a month in which required information is missing or no taxes applied to your activity.
- A hosted invoice link expires 30 days after the invoice’s due date (never later than 120 days), so save the PDFs you need.
What arrives by email
A business that bills you through Stripe sends the invoice or receipt by email, with a link to the Stripe-hosted page. Stripe’s help page on fee tax invoices describes them as available in the Dashboard; it doesn’t say they are emailed.
Let BillyBox collect them
BillyBox connects to Gmail, Outlook or any IMAP inbox and looks through your mail for invoices and receipts. It saves attached PDFs, turns receipts written into the email body into a PDF, and reads the vendor, amount and date for you.
When an email links to a Stripe receipt page that needs no login, BillyBox tries to download the document from that page as well as keeping the email. The tax invoices for your own Stripe fees stay in the Dashboard.
Collect the invoices that reach your inbox
Connect Gmail, Outlook or any IMAP inbox and review your invoices in one place.
